Knee Brace for ligament twist/injury prevention
This project is led by Mike Mathe, the lecturer of the course Project 2 at AAU. The objective of the project is to design a knee brace for preventing ligament twist or injury that is specifically for downhill skiing. One of the challenges is that we were required to design the product for an existing well-known brand that only sells products irrelevant to skiing activities.
Two main tasks given in this project were
1) Recognizing brand identity
2) User research pertaining to a certain sport activity for innovations and implementation
I chose Harley Davidson as the brand and down hill skiing as the target sport activity. The research book contains the work of background research, design process, sketches, orthographic and final design.
